Corporate action dataste containing events carried out by a publically traded company that materially impacts its stakeholders, such as shareholders or creditors. A corporate action may affect the securities issued by the company, such as equity or debt, and may require approval by the board of directors and/or the shareholders. Some examples of corporate actions are stock splits, dividends, mergers and acquisitions, rights issues, and spin-offs. Corporate actions can be either mandatory or voluntary. Mandatory corporate actions are automatically applied to the securities involved, while voluntary corporate actions require a response from the shareholders to participate.
